Rajni
Rajni is the first person in her family to pass Class XII. She wants to continue studying. Her father became ill at the beginning of the year. As his cancer progressed, she had to drop out of school to care for him, but she still attended the Wings programme in the afternoon.
Then the financial burden of her father’s medication meant she had to work.
So, she joined Wings as a teacher’s assistant in KG. We took the decision that she would take a year out from school and restart Class XI next year. Rajni’s father passed away in June.
Rajni is a wonderfully resilient, caring young woman, who cares deeply for her young charges.
