‘Naughty’ Naina

Naina has been with the Aasraa Trust for over three years. She is now 6. She’s been finger painting with us since she was two and a half! She is tiny, adorable and knows she can twist any of us around her little finger. She is also very independent.

Naina has two sisters and a brother. Although from a traditional family where a male child is required, hence three girls and then a boy, her father, Raju, is progressive.

Both her parents now play an active role in their river bed community and were essential in helping us establish a rapport with the Bindal slum dwellers.
