Independence Day

Independence Day

Our children celebrated Independence Day with their customary joie de vivre. Their enthusiasm was infectious and before the festivities began all the kids, teachers, Trustees & guests had the tri-colour tattooed on their cheeks.  The children enacting the play (written by a teacher with inputs from the children, about how the physically challenged can also be of help) put in bravura performances, eliciting a laugh a minute from the audience!  The children confidently spoke about their views on Independence & managed a tuneful rendition of our National Anthem.

The chief protagonists of the play

The children elated with the applause for their début performance!

We were fortunate to have the Doon School boys with us who sweetened our day with  ‘ladoos’ and their affable presence!

The National Anthem being sung.
