This position is responsible for identifying, engaging, and enrolling children from marginalized and vulnerable communities into Aasraa’s educational and skills programs.

The Outreach Executive serves as the first point of contact between the organization and the communities we serve, building trust with families, understanding the unique challenges children face, and guiding them toward opportunities that enhance their educational and livelihood prospects. By actively mapping underserved areas, conducting needs assessments, and maintaining ongoing engagement with enrolled children and their families, the Outreach Executive ensures sustained participation and support throughout the child’s journey from outreach to education and skills training

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with families in underserved communities.
  • Conduct door-to-door visits to identify out-of-school children, dropouts, and street children in the catchment area
  • Organize and participate in awareness campaigns to promote education and discourage child trafficking
  • Prepare and maintain individual files for each child and follow up regularly

The Life Skills Mentor will support the implementation of the Girls’ Education Program by facilitating life skills and career guidance sessions, supporting school tutors, conducting home visits with students and parents, and assisting in the effective implementation and monitoring of program activities at the field level.

The role aims to strengthen the personal development, confidence and educational engagement of adolescent girls by delivering life skills education, coordinating with school tutors, and ensuring consistent monitoring and documentation of program activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate life skills education sessions and career guidance sessions for adolescent girls as per the program design.
  • Provide support to school teachers and tutors in delivering academic and life skills sessions.
  • Assist in scheduling and monitoring tutoring sessions based on students’ academic needs.
  • Observe tutoring sessions and provide handholding support to tutors where required.
  • Participate in trainings and internal meetings conducted by Aasraa.
  • Conduct regular home visits to engage with students and their families.
  • Organize and facilitate parent meetings and stakeholder interactions.
  • Undertake field-based monitoring as per the approved monitoring plan.
  • Facilitate the administration of baseline assessments for girls and program stakeholders.

  • Liaise with government institutions to support reporting and monitoring mechanisms related to the program.

  • Support school tutors in maintaining academic records and student progress documentation.
  • Assist in periodic assessment of students and maintain assessment records.
  • Monitor program quality and identify factors affecting effective implementation of life skills sessions.
  • Provide feedback to tutors based on observations and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure tutors maintain program records in accordance with program design.
  • Collect monitoring data and submit reports to the Program Coordinator / Program Manager.
  • Enter relevant data into the Aasraa MIS database as required.
  • Document best practices, case studies, photographs and program learnings.
  • Collect attendance records of girls and submit them to the Program Coordinator.
  • Prepare reports for home visits, parent meetings and stakeholder meetings.

Education and Experience requirements

Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies or a related field.

1–2 years of experience in girls’ education, gender programs, youth development or life skills training.

Experience working with government schools and teachers. Experience in community engagement and adolescent development programs. Prior experience in training facilitation or life skills education programs.

  • Technical competencies: Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel for documentation and reporting. Understanding of monitoring tools and program data collection.
  • Behavioral competencies: Willingness to travel extensively within the project areas. Ability to work with adolescent girls in a sensitive and supportive manner. Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills with teachers, parents and stakeholders.
